Balmain Surety is a financial services intermediary specialising in the credit enhancement of transactions through financial risk transfer.
Financial risk or credit risk is the risk faced by financiers when entering into a financial transaction with a borrower or contractor. The credit enhancement of transactions is the reduction of credit risk by transferring some of that risk from the financier to a third party of stronger "creditworthiness" than the borrower.
Through the use of performance bonds and other financial instruments Balmain Surety is able to free up working capital. This is possible as third party bond providers do not usually require the same level of security as banks to issue an equivalent guarantee.
The freed up capital represents borrowing power and presents Balmains clients an opportunity to grow their businesses.
